Style: Transitional  ·  Location: South Hill

This 1970’s kitchen was small and boxed in with confining walls.

Our clients were not sure if they needed to remodel or sell. We proposed to open the kitchen to the living area and transition the space with a good sized island. Popcorn ceilings, vinyl flooring and dated carpeting were removed from the kitchen, dining, living room and hallway. New texture was applied to the ceilings, brand new oak hardwood flooring was installed, and the staircase railing was replaced with a sleek looking combination of wood and galvanized steel. The new kitchen, with fewer walls, had more storage than the old version and provided island seating that brings this family together on a daily basis.
