Style: Traditional  ·  Location: South Hill

This classic kitchen was full of white washed maple cabinetry, dysfunctional angles, and a layout that was not considerate of the use of the kitchen.

We relocated the entry into the kitchen from two adjacent rooms which provided for the best possible layout. Straightening out the angles increased walk space, provided for greater counter space on either side of the cooktop and allowed seating for 4 on a multi-functional island. A thorough design phase identified the “home” for every item to be stored in the kitchen. Painted cabinetry, soapstone counters, and slate accents compliment the master suite that we had completed 2 years prior. We transformed this area into a sophisticated space considerate of how this family operates.
