We turned a segmented, confined space into a flowing, welcoming home. Our changes not only enhanced natural light and spatial flow, but also created an atmosphere that invites connection and harmony.
When we first encountered this client’s space, the vibe was calm but lacked the luxurious touch they desired. The kitchen was closed off, and the flow between areas felt disjointed. Their request was specific: a high-contrast design infused with opulence without losing its tranquil essence.
The first move was to open up the kitchen and add a central island, immediately enhancing the room’s flow and usability. This became the heart of the kitchen, a functional space for meal preparation, as well as a stylish gathering point. Dark-hued cabinets were chosen to deliver that rich, luxurious look, perfectly contrasting with touches of gold hardware and accents that were thoughtfully distributed throughout the space.
To keep the design cohesive, we added open pantry drawers with a simple shaker panel to balance the room’s high-contrast drama. One of the standout features was the custom-designed oven hood, which not only enhanced the kitchen’s functionality but also tied in beautifully with the gold hardware, amplifying the warmth of the room. The fireplace got its own mini-makeover, with updated cabinets that maintain the original stone, adding to the home’s character while elevating its style.
"I cannot stress enough what a great experience it has been from design to completion. They worked with us to keep to our budget. Their construction team showed up on time, were very professional, and did beautiful work. I highly recommend Berry Built"
