The remodel seamlessly blended historical reverence with modern luxury, transforming a Tudor-style home on the National Registry into a space that honors its past while incorporating a state-of-the-art kitchen addition.
Working on a Tudor-style home that holds a spot on the National Registry of Historic Homes was both an honor and a challenge. Our clients had a clear vision and opted for an addition to accommodate their dream kitchen, always keeping within the approved historical guidelines. Collaborating closely with the clients, their architect, and other subcontractors, we aimed to surpass expectations and pay homage to the original craftsmanship that made this home a timeless classic.
The completed kitchen is a study in meticulous detail and old-world skill, featuring custom-built, flush inset cabinetry in dual colors, along with two types of granite counters. Modern conveniences like stainless appliances and heated wood and tile flooring were integrated seamlessly. Custom-designed hardware and vintage lighting—personally sourced by the owner—were the final touches that elevated this project into a masterpiece.
In the end, a colored rendering created during the design phase was overshadowed by the real thing: a flawless fusion of design excellence, high-quality materials, and craftsmanship that would make any old-world tradesman proud.
"They completed our kitchen remodel and came in under estimate. I couldn't be happier about the results! Thank you Matt, Sara and the entire Berry Built team!"
